The purpose of this organization shall be for the organization, development and promotion of youth athletics. Our objective is to elevate the level of play to the highest caliber possible within a competitive environment. Athletes shall learn the life skills of fair play, good sportsmanship, and respect. By teaching and reinforcing fundamentals, conditioning, commitment, teamwork, perseverance, and positive attitude, Lightning Youth Athletics will provide the athletes with the necessary tools to be champions in their sport and in their life.

The Wisconsin Lightning softball program specializes in developing youth athletes in  performance, competitive fastpitch team development and premier fastpitch competition for girls tournament play.

Our softball program is designed to improve each player’s athletic ability which includes improving their fundamentals, speed, conditioning, muscle memory and knowledge of the game. We teach our girls the importance of academic achievement and being a student/athlete first and in that order.

To develop a great softball player requires good planning that is based upon fundamentals and strategies of offense and defense. This plan and direction comes from coaches and instructors who are dedicated, experienced and knowledgeable in the game of fastpitch softball.

Our coaching staffs passion for training youth players is evident to the athlete and their parents. This enthusiasm provides a positive learning and training atmosphere for each player. We will continue to improve our quality of training for our athletes.
