16U Takes home some hardware....
16U Platts finished the PGF Midwest Championship taking 2nd place and bringing home some cool hardware! 85 teams knocked out!
They now travel just down the road to compete in the ASA/USA Nationals in Normal, IL.
Also competing at nationals this week are the 18U (ASA/USA Nationals in Salem, OR), 12U (ASA A Northern Nationals Bloomington, IN), and 10U (ASA A Northern Nationals in Eau Claire, WI). Good luck to all the teams as they wrap up theirs season at nationals!
Couldn't be more proud of these ladies. This adventure started Wednesday and through heart, tough play, laughter, and determination they've battled their way through the losers bracket and many great teams to make it to the PGF Midwest Regionals championship game. They're exhausted, hungry, sore, and hurt but ready to keep fighting to win it all! They've never stopped picking each other up and playing as a solid team! What a ride the past few days has been. We held the final team to 0 for 6 innings, losing 0-3, but battling with every play. Finished 2nd out of 86 teams. Not too shabby. Go Lightning!!!
